Took apart a pair of vintage handcrafted frames salvaged from my late grandad apartment. After overlaying the acrylic Arabic characters to a new background, I proceeded to give the frames a fresh coat of matt black with white inner lining. Bringing new life and meaning to an otherwise forgotten item can be really gratifying.
I'm done with painting the wall and the bed 4 hours ago, feels accomplished. Next on the agenda: sending the JPG images of Saul Bass posters for printing and framing. Right now, room reeks of enamel paint.
Planning to sand off the existing texture on the wall and the bed frame. I'll be making my way to homefix to get some wall paints and a special blend for the bed frame.
edit: was behind schedule, manage to clean and re-sized high-resolution jpeg images of Saul Bass posters instead
Did a spot of spring cleaning yesterday's night and today's afternoon, threw a mother load worth of junk. I'm bent on repainting my metal day bed frame with a coat of turquoise. Overall, day 1 of workspace makeover progressing smoothly.
